Any website with people selling puppies that they will ship you sight-unseen is VERY likely to be a scam.

If you want a GOOD, safe website go to www.akc.org and look for breeder referrals from a breed you're interested in.

Kaboo.org is simply a classified ad service, much like craigslist..There is no way to tell what is a scam that is listed on there..as it simply lists ads that people post...
Ask the seller for references before sending any payment...and then check out the references..
2 bottles of hydrogen peroxide, plus 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of dish soap is the BEST skunk remedy, and is what all vets are recommending now..

Look, it is a classified service. If you buy something from someone...like a puppy, YOU must be ware of getting scammed!!! You go and see the puppies first. You decide if they are something you want to spend money on. You find out what comes with the puppy..papers,vaccines,worming,guarantee..any anything else. You never give over money until you are provided with all the things you are due. If someone says you get AKC papers and they will mail them to you..DO NOT GIVE THEM THE MONEY!!!!
You must look out for yourself. The service itself is not a scam, but some of the opeople ON it may be!!!!!

I had never heard of Kaboo before (even living in SF Area), but in looking at the website, it seems legit. Basically, it seems a lot like Craigslist (which the owners of Kaboo reference and indicate that they "admire" - Craigslist may be another place to look). With that said, always be wary of ANY public posting. Your best bet is an animal shelter - there are too many non-professional breeders out there that are looking to make $$ rather than promote safe and healthy dogs, and far too many dogs in shelters. Best of luck.
