I just adopted two dogs, they are terrier mix, they are very attached to each other and love to play with one another. One is a mix of a Jack Russel Terrier and the other a mix of a box terrier I believe. I took them out to a doggie park and the Box Terrier became very aggresive towards other dogs trying to fight them every chance he could and jumping to bite on them (aggressively), it was such a great park where you can have your dogs off the leash playing around and instead I had to keep him on a very short leash and pulling him back every time a dog came over to play. The Jack Russell was having a good time but I didn't get him off the leash for fear of how the other dog might react. The other thing that happened, is that when another dog would approach my two dogs would turn on each other and start to sort of fight each other (when they normally alwasy play with each other). Any suggestions?

Find a local trainer and have them evalute the dogs. Although some issues can be worked out some are engrained in their head from when they were puppies. It sounds like they were not socialized well. Make sure you are calm and in control- most dogs feed off their owners energy.

They are just acting like terriers, what did you expect? Take them to an obedience class at a good training club, NOT Petsmart or Petco.
