US soldiers gang rape and then brutally murder and burn 14 yr old Iraqi girl and her family. Was this an isolated and their for excusable actions of a few or typical white conquest over indigineous people of that region? We've seen this before with the native American. Your thoughts?

Isolated, maybe, could also be endemic to our mentality toward these people. Excusable, never. The abuse, be it rape, torture, murder, etc. of innocent people is never excusable and should never be treated as such.

It is completely an isolated incident! I am in the military and I was in Iraq. You people actually think we go around terrorizing Iraqis? I can't believe how ignorant you people can be! We went out of our way to help people. Just because a few sick freaks do something stupid you think you can label us or judge what we do? I would shoot those idiots myself if they would allow me to, but most of you wouldn't even have it in you to do that, you just like to come on here and talk **** about other people. I hope those bastards rot or die because of what they did, just like every rapist and child molester here in the US.

If you haven't been there but think you know what's going on you are fools. CNN doesn't make you an expert on what is happening over there. There is no damn conquest in Iraq. The conquest and oppression ended when we removed the Baath Party government. Do some ******* research before you get on here and show people how ignorant you are.

I have no doubt that such things have taken place in Iraq. I think the problem is that with the Iraqi government in such ruin and the US still having a major power in the country the US will not hold the soldiers accountable for their actions.

I don't think this was an isolated incident. This one just happened to make the news somehow, so now the government has to make it look like an isolated incident otherwise they may have to deal with a lot of problems.

Isolated? Hopefully.

Excusable? No.

No, not isolated and definitely NOT excusable. No human life is expendable. The collateral damage in warfare is civilian life. It has been since the beginning.

I dont know if it is isolated or not but it certainly is not excusable. Sadly enough this happens all the time in war, not just Americans but all armies have done this and not just white.

they should NOT be excused

they should be held to Iraqi law on this and actually turned over to the Iraqis for punishment, its the only way to atone and show respect for their culture which is what we are fighting for
