A brilliant scientist dies and at the gates of heaven he asks to speak to God. God appears and the scientist says, "You are no longer needed on Earth because science has learned how to do everything that you do. We can even create a man from mud."
"Really?" says God. "That I'd like to see!'
So God took the scientist down to Earth and asked the scientist to procede.
The scientist bent over to gather up some mud, but God protested. "Hold on there, bucko, get your own mud!'

Im an atheist
that joke is really funny.
However..... it doesnt prove there actually is a God.
It does show what scientist have always known anyway, and that is, they never can make the mud itself.
I find it pretty foolish to describe this christian god as a wise cracking hooligan who in the end will take the atheist scientist and drop kick them of mount zion into the firey pools of hades cracking jokes along the way, treating 'truth' as a parody of somekind, just to prove He is god and they are not.
does this 'god' treat eternal torment in such a ridiculous manner?. If such a god existed, then he really is an a s s hole.

I don't get it either. You said the scientist dies. The Bible says that dead is dead. The dead don't speak. There is no afterlife until Judgment day, so how is it that this fellow is speaking? Does not compute. What church is that denomination you belong to? Church of the pagan few?
