I believe it will have to be the countrywide language when you consider that nearly all of folks within the US talk it. But I dont believe it will have to be the one language spoken nor will it ever be the one language spoken within the US. There are such a lot of immigrants that experience introduced their language and tradition to the US and in plenty of approaches have made it a higher situation for it. Other languages will have to be spoken additionally the support new immigrants that dont recognize English but and want/wish to be trained it. Also for members of the family with different international locations. And to preserve translators/interpreters and more than a few different folks in employment. Just to call a couple of causes. Hope it is helping.

I think English is the universal language. I think every student should learn their own language and one more, and English is the dormionate language world wide.
The world is getting too small and over popuilated to not merge into one basic language, and ours (English is the proper one to select.)
English is the easiest to learn for foreigners who have little of the trouble learning ours that we do learning theirs.
America needs to take steps to make the English language easer to take in school. We spend (in most states) 12 year sof taking english in school and at least 1/2 more in college and it can take up to 8 years to get a masters in College english. Many foreign student slearn English by watching their favorite rock stars, actors/actresses, movies ect while most americans have trouble passing classroom english and are terrible in any other language . Our language is lorded over by a few college professors who use it to futher their own benefits. Most countries assume their citizens already know how to speak their nativ ecountry and wast elittle time with such silly items as dangling adverbs:):):),. Were there one standard worldwide there would be less friction betwen nations.

depends what you want. English is definately the most useful language to speak since it's spoken almost everywhere. If you want to get a job with it, Arabic and Chinese are the best to learn. (In america anyway)

the best language is the one that helps you understand the heart of your lover and that is the language of love. There is no other language more beautiful than that anywhere in this world... and this language is found all over the world... no matter what country, culture or religion...

I would have to say the ones you can speak, write, and understand. That would vary from person to person. Most would pick the first language they learnt.
