From what I have seen, Christians always seem to have the logic that non-believers = devil or devil helpers. Throughout history, Christians seem to be the most violent and non-believers seem to be the most peaceful.

With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

This must mean that “the devil or devil helpers” = peace.

the church has a violent history, even though it HAS been persecuted it has persecuted others as well(and very violently too).
non-believers are the devil is the stupid. That generalizes way too much. This statement also exalts believers because it puts people who dont believe down. Also most of the acts comitted were for personel gain and did absolutely nothing to improve 'spirituality' of the people, all it brought was death and destruction(aswell as completing the leaders secret agendas)
this puts down people of other religons and athiests. Just cause people dont believe in something so easily as you do. you should not call them the devil.
whoever has not commited any sin cast the first stone

So misguided. You've twisted history. One example:
Salem witch burnings---Christians were accused of being witches by very perverted "religious cults".
Newsflash--"Witches" weren't burnt at the stake.Christians were.

No, Christians have not been the most violent in history.

acgsk,
"Non-believers are the devil, right?"
No.

The devil is the devil. He acts in disobediance to God. Those that are not in Christ are referred to as the Children of Disobedience.

Those that are in faith to God are Children of Promise.

That's the distinction.

I know that some Christians simplify their description of non believers by calling nonbelievers "the devil."

But I wouldn't take it literal. The nonbeliever might be full of the devil, but are not the devil.

The combination of dualism and ignorance is explosive and often deadly. It's not just Christians or Moslems. It applies to anyone. The only solution I know of is more information and time to digest it into wisdom.

No. Non-believers just think themselves too smart and too sophisticated to believe in God.
