Pasta salads are always good. You can vary the salads, adding meat or veggies. You can purchase "ice blankets" that you stick in the freezer for under a dollar @ Wal-Mart next to the lunch boxes.

Wraps are another nice variation to sandwiches; you can use tortillas, flatbread or even lettuce to wrap your filling. Veggie sticks w/ a dressing dip are also good; you can buy these in the produce section at your local supermarket.

As far as sandwiches, try variations using pita bread, bagels, and specialty breads like potato or rye bread. Banana bread with cream cheese is yummy too!

Veggie soft taco's are great. Corn T's, steamed carrots, broc., pickled jala., what ever you like. Just be sure and assemble them in the cafeteria, you don't want them to be soggy. Be sure and take some taco sauce, hot or mild to juice them up just before you devour them. A handy place to get the sauce would be at the taco stand of your choice. Just pick up a few extra packs next time you are at Jack in the Box, or where ever you like to eat.

Small pita breads (about the size of your hand) are SUPER! Just stuff them with your favourites. I like tuna salad, chicken salad, ham/cheese/lettuce, peanut butter/jam/banana, even my favourite sub fillers. * Remember to put a small freezer pack in with your lunch to keep things cold.

A wide-mouth Thermos container keeps hot foods surprisingly hot until lunch time (believe me, I know). That would allow you to take left-overs like pasta/meatballs, chicken, casserole, Chinese food (fried rice, chop suey, etc.) stew, soup, chili, etc. Just heat them in the micro-wave before you leave for school and transfer them to your Thermos. Don't forget your cutlery.

#A bagel with cream cheese .

#A tuna salad with crunchy bits of celery and Caesar salad. Any dressing you desire.

#Toasted crumpets with cheese spread and jam.

#Pita bread with hummus and salad.

#Grilled cheese toasted sandwich with tomato.

#Pita bread with Christos' halloumi cheese and tomato.

#Slice of a loaf slightly toasted- spread with pizza cheese, slices of sausage and olives. Grill and top with a another toasted slice .

# Cream crackers with various toppings like melted mashmellows or cheese spreads. You can also have cheddar slices to go with them, you can use a cake cutter to cut out various shapes.

cold pasta salad, meatloaf sandwiches (if they're gonna be stored somewhere cool), in winter take a flask with hot soup in or a chilli, fruit salads, yoghurts, stuff like that.
