Biblical calendar years were different from ours. That's the only logical explanation.

First of all, Jesus believed the scripture that we now know as the Old Testanemt. Second, as you read through the Genisis 5 you find that at theat time, befoe the flood, that it was not unusual for people to live very long lives, by our standards.
Another reason is that the name Methuselah is a part of another story being told. to the Istrialites and us today. The name Methuselah means, "His death shall bring", which is only part of a message that GOd was giving. To see how this all fiits together, I suggest a read of this piece by Ray Stedman: http://www.raystedman.org/genesis/0324.html

Not anymore, obviously. But back before the flood the atmosphere was such that people lived a really long time; hundreds of years. That explains why the earth got populated so fast, with people having babies for hundreds of years (and most of them didn't have their first children until they were 60-80). That's also why dinosaurs were so huge - like all reptiles, dinosaurs never stopped growing as long as they lived. So, a 300 year old T-Rex would be, like, huge.

I absolutely believe it. The world was much different then, many thousands of years ago. He did live that long, but it is not God's will, or possible with the condition of the earth for it to be done again.

Silly you should second guess God's ability to put His word together and not believe it. This will cause you much confusion and you will struggle in your relationship with Him. He is God and we are not however His loving kindness deals with our unbelief and If you ask He will clarify with His presence. Remember He changed the days and years of man to 12O years so yes man lived alot longer in the beginning.

definitely possible.
Why shouldn't people live that long? Scientists hope that they'll be able to get people to live that long in a few more decades of research.
its a long discussion, but in short, I don't see why people should have to die.
