For me, the purpose of this life is to learn to live in harmony with the will of God. Our eternal reward will depend on our mental/spiritual makeup when that final judgment wraps up. I suppose that, in theory, your point is valid. However, I would argue that Satan didn't have the benefit of the experiences that we gain in this mortal life. From this life, we will be judged, and we'll be placed in an eternal realm that reflects our choices.
I believe that we will have free will, but by that point, those who chose to act in a manner contrary to the will of God will have been sifted out and won't be passing through those pearly gates.

I believe the goal of a Christian is to become more like Christ on earth. As we grow spiritually we begin to see more clearly the effects of evil in our lives and the consequences of bad choices. Temptation was brought into the world through satan and with temptation, sin. Under Christs rule, satan and his demons will no longer tempt mankind and the true believers will be rejoicing in the glory and perfection of Christ Jesus. Unlike Satan, we will have been brought from a sinful origin into future perfection. It is written that even the angels cannot grasp the glory of our salvation.
As humans, we cannot begin to understand or appreciate all that God has for us in eternity.

I think we will have free will; I also think that living in the presence of God's glory is going to make us not even think about sinning; but if anybody does, we do know that sin is not acceptable in heaven (that's why salvation is necessary prior to going to heaven), so I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

in the bible it says that there will not be any sin. he is going to take all the sin away and we will not even think to sin because we will be praising God for the heaven that he made us. heaven is something we cant even think about. there will be so much wonder things there for all of us that we wont have to sin to get it.

it has nothing to do with having a body or not.
it has to do with caving in to sinful temptations.
This life is like a training ground. We are to learn to reject sin here.
Plus, It says, that now we see darkly as through a glass, there we will see sin for what it is and reject it categorical, Just as Jesus did/does.
Remember, God can do anything. He CAN sin. But because He is Holy and Just, He chooses not to. When we sit at His feet and learn from Him, we shall be like Him.
Rejecting sin because we want to. THAT'S free will, buddy.

Nno, in heaven you will have a new suit and shoes to go with it. Only no watches. No will-be. No was-were. NO have been, had beens. Only IS. Hey, ever read Isaac Balshevic Singer's story about the young man who wanted to die? something like that. Freewill? But you are already free! As long as you grapple with that grizzly called will, no one can save you. So, free that will! There you are.

Yes, you will alway's have a Free-Will. If you get to Heaven and don't like it you can Rebell if you want to, but not very likely.
GOD is agonna leave HELL open for us to Look into, for a While.
A deterrent? Just to show what rebelling against GOD produce's? Don't know for sure yet, but we will be able to see the Lost, in Hell, for a time.

You don't understand. Jesus took care of all of it on the cross. Be assured, God took care of it. We're here to make a choice. In Heaven the choice is signed, sealed, and delivered.
No sin to ever happen again.

If you can have free will without a "sin nature", why does god give us a "sin nature"? Did he give Satan a "sin nature" too?
All these "free will" arguments are just plain stupid.
