Murderers and child molesters would be freed, cause you know, poor them. Abortions will be the new birth control, euthanasia will be the norm, it would become a hell on earth. Luckily, it'll only last a few years. Atheism will in no way deter evil, it will embrace it.

For those who say that religion is bad, I have to say that atheism is a religion. It's a system of theological beliefs held by a significant group of people. See, religion is just a word with a set definition; the way we use it in daily speech--especially on here--can be a very limited use of the word.
As far as deterring evil, it really depends on how you define evil. If you think a belief in a supreme being is evil, then yes. If you believe that denial of said being is evil, then no. Evil is another of those words that really doesn't mean everything we think it means. it's very flexible.

Possibly. Evil can come from religion, atheism works on a basis of logic and science and therefore would remove the problems that religion brings to the situation. That having been said people would find something else to disagree about.

Evil is a fiction, only the sith deal in absolutes.

Religious belief has no effect on behavior for the vast majority, the desire to avoid pissing off the people you know through misdeeds is the real source of morality for most.

Just look at the internet, may people believe, falsely I'd add, that they are anonymous and that nothing they do can be traced back to them and they behave in atrocious ways and engage in unambiguously criminal activity all because they assume no one will ever find out.

No. Atheism is a foothold of evil. Think about why you don't want there to be a God. Because then you don't have to answer for your actions. You don't want to answer for them because there's punishments that go along with them that you don't want to accept. Without God then there is no punishment, you can do whatever you want, and ultimatly someone else will get hurt which will cause them to retaliate, so on and so on, untill the purpetual cycle of evil persists throuout the whole family, community, nation, and eventually the world.

only if religion was the source of all evil. I'm seriously doubting if we got rid of religion if all the atheist would all just agree with each other. There will always be something to fight about even without religion. We should probably get rid of all money, ideals, oh and people!

GId uses whomever he will for whatever purpose he chooses. A fun read to illistrate this is the account of Balaam in Numbers 22.

Hopefully yes. Once the world stops accepting the actions of theists and begins to persecute them, peace will be more achievable.

Don't think so. Evil by definition is a belief of religion. Anthiest can't recognize it.
