Why do people think red heads are ugly/disabled/lesser people etc?

People seem to think that red heads are disabled in some way.....red heads often hide their true colour by dying their hair. Why should they be embarrassed....I know some stunning red heads.

i am a very proud red head - but for years growing up i hated it because of very small minded people bullying me. that was until i learnt that you stand out in the crowd, get noticed first and believe it or not get a lot of attention!! much more fun than blondes!!! plus ask any man who has been with a red head and they will tell you that we are fierry and passionate in all areas!!!

Red hair is beautiful and why people cover it up with these hair dyes I really don't know, people are mean and cruel and should get a grip and leave the redheads alone, I would love to be a red head, its an amazing colour and very beautiful too.

woop!! go you i have red hair (straeberry blonde) and i use to dye it all the time i hate having it but thats my opinion i have dyed it soo many colours here i go pink, purple, red, blonde, orange, blue, greypurpley, black, kinda went a green colour aswell and the list goes on but i am now back to my naturall colour and going to get sum red put init i have a Problem i know but hey my hair is thick it can take it. alot of people are saying i would never dye my hair if it was red but the thing is people with red hair don't like it well i don't anyway i get told all the time i have beautiful hair but i just really don't like the colour i try and dye it as much as possible.

Who do you know who thinks that? I'm a natural brunette, but was a redhead for years by choice until I got tired of paying for the dye. Red hair is beautiful!

I don't think that is true at all. Many people are particularly attracted to red-heads. Not only Charlie Brown, either!
It is all a matter of taste and self esteem.

yeh its stupid isn't it. just cos the colours different - UNIQUE, people cant accept it. I think the colours becoming more popular now, but i dont suppose it helps red headed people when celebrities die their hair from red to another - cos they are embarrassed of it.

That's insane. Those that believe these things about redheads are in a very, very small minority. Redheaded women are just as attractive and appealing as women with any other hair-color. I bet the only reason people say negative things about redheads is because their ex is a redhead and that redhead dumped them.

i dont see anything wrong with whatever hair color people have, its the attitude that counts. do u mean like really reddish orange or just kind of brassy, i like kind of like blondish sandy brown hair, a bit reddish not too much, its just personal taste after all, but is just my preference, not that i dislike others,, again it depends on how people act that i will decidee if i like them or not, u could give a example of someone with that color ur talking about, so we can get an idea, do u mean like moly ringwald kind of red? or not that red, some people have kind of brassy brown n in light has some reddish tones,,, i like that, mollyes hair is a bit too red for me, but i wouldnt hate her cause of that
