My son just asked me for some paper, pencil, and some scotch tape. When I asked him what he was going to do with the tape, he said, "You don't want to know....." LOL!

Your son has a sense of humor...that's great. Now that I think about it...you may want to keep an eye on him just in case ;-)

Worried? No.
But if HE is convinced that you don't want to know, then he is convinced that you would not approve, or at most, react badly.
You do need to see what it is that he is convinced that you would not want to know. You will know at that point if you should be worried.
You did not mention his age, but its most likely he is parrotting something he has heard and liked the sound of.

I would think the most important opportunity in this would be to teach him how to NOT respond to a parent's question! Response OK for buddies, NOT OK for Mom or Dad. Its not funny, its not "cute" and Mom and Dad don't ask to hear themselves make a noise. Such a response is unacceptable at most and disrespectful at least. Its a backhanded way of telling YOU to MYOB. Chances are he does not realize that, and is just having fun. Later, that may not be the case.

Just watch your back so you don't end up with a sign on you the next time you get a hug! LOL

If he's a little tyke, take a peek around the corner to see what he's doing: you never know, it might end up being a special little card or something nice.

I wouldn't worry much. You might make a simple comment, something like, "So when the cops show up to haul you away, then I'll just hold the door open for them, smile, and as they drag you by, I'll say, 'I don't want to know'"

You might get a word or two out of it then. If not, repeat to yourself, "I don't want to know, I don't want to know." He's probably just trying to replicate some rude picture that he saw at school and if you saw it you would tell yourself, 'I was worried about this?' Then walk away muttering, 'I didn't really want to know.'

cute. he's probably going to draw a monitor and keyboard on the paper and tape it to himself so you'll give him attention and love him as much as your computer

The Bible says, "In nothing be anxious( or in other words/worried) but with everything with prayer and supplications and thanksgiving unto God------." It also says, " Train up a child in the way he should go and when he old do not depart". Did you train him up in the way he should go? If you didn't, you better reform your ways and train him up, it might be too late!
