I have been wondering about this for quite some time. I hope the question is not offensive, it is not meant to be. If some find it so, I apologize. But the scriptures clearly state that God created man in His own image and that implies that God would have a penis, I wonder if there has been anything written or discussed on this. And again, if this seems offensive, it is definitely not meant to be, and I do apologize to anyone who finds it so.

The important fact is that when GOD says that he created man on his own image doesnt mean physical, it is spiritual. In many scriptures GOD explained about himself as "Aroopi" means no fixed shapes or images, he can take any form he wishes, but he never takes himself any shape or image. The question doesnot arise because GOD has no shape or image and he is at will to accept any images.

No it does not. If you want to search the ancient scrolls for answers to define God as a natural element than you have gone astray and that is common amongst many people who look for answers to the divinity of Christ.
The earliest life form is not copmprehndable by no Man on earth, we have not the knowledge to understand it, but we try to and Man has written everyting from the Bible handed down by anceint scrols to nothing of answers, but belive this...what ever happened along time ago and I mean a very very long time ago, is so powerful that we don;t have 1/16th of that power to understand it, but it very much alive today!

I believe so. Of course, that comes from my belief structure, which includes the belief that gender is an eternal part of who we are. I'm male now, I was male before, and I'll be male hereafter.
For those who believe in a less tactile god, they would take that as a metaphorical likeness, like the first person to answer the question. The answer to your question is going to be based on the beliefs of the answerer.
I think it's a fascinating question, as long as people don't turn it into something it isn't, simply a genuine curiosity.

This is not directed at you in any way whatsoever. Below is one of my answers to a question similar to this and I will include the text below. Do not take offense as this was not aimed at you but at another asker who asked "What is the name of the God of Abraham?" The previous asker included the comments that "God is his title" in their narrative and I had to assert my point of view.

Part of my answer to the previous asker's question is as follows and has my point of view on your question included.

(Begin quote)----Why say "God is His title". For one thing...if "God" exists in the form of a divine entity then why would you call "God" a "him"? You have now personified your "God" and put it at the same level as you in humanity. Do you intentionally do this? Wouldn't "God" be an "it" or the "divine force" above all humanity but not a "He" or "Him". Hmm..I guess your God is now a man and has male genitalia as you insist on calling it "him". Open your eyes and possibly see that you have put your faith blindly in something that other people have told you to worship your entire life. Maybe you should read something other than the "Holy Bible" and learn to think for yourself.----(End quote)

I hope this helps in your search for enlightenment.

You have a translation problem, here. "His Own Image" refers to his "sinless" nature. Of course, also giving mankind the ability of "choice", kind of blew it for us until, that is, Jesus Christ came. Why not read and STUDY the Bible?
