The God Christians worship is not manipulative. He wants us to "Love All, Forgive All, Show Mercy, Judge No-One." Where is the manipulation there?

He wants us to accept that Jesus has taken the punishment that we should have had for everything we have done wrong, small to great. This is because He wants us to be able to live life to the full, here on Earth and in the New Creation. Where is the manipulation there?

He gives us The Holy Spirit, which allows us to become our true selves, completely fulfilled. The Holy Spirit gives us some of the same abilities Jesus has. Where is the manipulation there?

God DOES manipulate circumstances to benefit us, train us, make us strong. He allows us to do things we never thought we would be able to do.

God is the perfect loving Father, who knows us better than we know ourselves (after all, He designed us). He wants us to be free of anxiety and fear.

If this is manipulation, it is infinitely better than the alternative.

In the beginning God created........

No, man did not create god, but god created man.

God showed himself to believers and non-believers alike throughout history. Just reading the bible you only get a believers prospective. but if you read the history books of those nations or peoples that went up against the jews, you'll find some of them had a change of belief, or were totally destroyed by a force so powerful no one could explain how they were destroyed.

For instance the destruction of soddom and Gomor. , it is well documented the city existed, but yet the gound in which it stood, nothing will grow and soil samples taken from the area show a scorching of the soil far greater than any man made devices possible for that time period occurred. But the bible describes how it occurred and there has been no other evidence to dispute this fact.

Ok, so alot has to do with faith also. But what is faith?
Believing in something you can't see. We do this every day.

We believe in Jesus, his life is documented, not just in the bible and we are told he is the messiah, God in the flesh.
When Jesus walked the earth over one hunderd men followed him, 12 disciples are closest to him. Not once did any of them ever say it was all a lie or a deception. In fact they died still contending that Jesus was who he said he was. Ususally one will break and squel when threatened with prospect of torture and death. But not one of them waivered in their FAITH in Jesus.

Do you believe the sun will rise tomorrow, or will the earth jump off it axis and spin out of control in to space. No we have faith that tomorrow will come and life goes on.
How about your spouse, do you believe she will be faithful to you or will she not. FAITH, again sometimes you just have a feeling, trust in what you feel and read and experience.
Until you experience how god can change your life, not only outside, but inside, you can't dispute that god really exists.

Otherwise, what is left after we die?
why when people pray do things happen, sometimes even unexplainable things?
I guess for some, seeing is believing.

but for the rest of us, FAITH is all we need!
