And you find yourself working at Albertson in the deli department, or some other stupid, inconsequential job like that?

Thanks Momma Dog for cheering me up, letting me know that there is somebody else stupider than I am and has actually learned less as they got older.

I feel like I have wasted some of the opportunities that I was given. I don't think I was too stupid just too young to understand that they were opportunities.

At 20, I knew everything. At 50 I understand how little I actually know.

No way man! I've always been a person who looks opportunity in the face and embraces it! The best thing I ever did was go to college for a year, took a little time off being a nanny, then answering a help wanted ad to be a Travel Agent! Was able to travel as much as I wanted, saw and enjoyed many different cultures and eventually worked myself up throughout the years to Regional Operations Manager in charge of 35Million in Travel Business! Now I'm 50 and retired!

Absolutely.....I was offered a job at a shop that sold African art, they where just starting out their business and they were going to send me all over the world to purchase pieces of art for them, I for some stupid reason decided to take a job as a waitress instead, because the hours were better, stupid mistake.

I have returned to my current employer because it pays well..but gave up a job that I enjoyed but paid half as much...seemed it would have been a no brainer, right? Then why do I feel this question applies to me.
