OCD has two parts an obsession and a compulsion.. you first have to have an obsession then a compulsion towards the obsession.. failure in satisfying the obsession with the compulsion will lead to anxiety and distress... example of this would be opening and closing the door multiple times to see if it was locked.. failure to check the door would lead to stress from being worried the door was unlocked.. checking it multiple times would relieve the anxiety.. it becomes a problem and a mental disorder when it dramtically disrupts your life..

Do you have to do things 3 or 4 times in a row? Does everything have to be on the square? or symetrical?

If it is see a Dr. and find out for sure.

You can spot the signs but an official diagnosis must come from a doctor - whether it be a psychologist or psychiatrist who has met with you and conducted some tests.

If you think that you have then you need to see a mental health professional to see what's up. You probably don't have it if your asking us, but then again... YOU NEED TO CONSULT A DOCTOR. But if you want to "know" now then Google OCD symptoms or whatever and see if you're experiencing them.

Dear Candy,

It's possible that you might also have AD(H)D, given your other question. You might get tested for both.
