They think they have something over us because they don't believe in God. Well, they don't.

I am most likely more intelligent than you, and it has nothing to do with my beliefs, I just have a high IQ. A lot of very intelligent people are atheists, and a lot of semi-retarded people are theists. Atheism requires the ability to reason, something that comes with intelligence. Religion doesn't demand much from the brain, just the ability to follow doctrine. I think I do have something over you because you believe in something that doesn't exist, and if you disagree, then so be it. I don't need your approval to be intelligent or to be an atheist. Have a nice day.

Generally they are more intelligent. Unlike a religion whose members are often there by default, atheists have to reason through their process to arrive at it. Very few people are atheist by default, tons of Christians are Christian by default.

People who reason things through are generally smarter than those who don't. Psychological studies show that no more than 40% of the college population of the country can use reasoning and it is less outside the college population. Most people have deeply flawed reasoning processes, but of course do not know it believing that they are at least average or above average. There is a study done that shows that 80% of the population believes they are above average drivers. I wouldn't doubt that 80% believe they are above average in their reasoning abilities.

Most people run with their emotion not with their mind. They just "know" it is true. That isn't intelligence.

You know your are right.. It is a bit funny that they except this electrified pool of water theory to that of creation by God.. Both require faith but that pool of water idea takes more faith than the faith any Christian can muster. Imagine. A small puddle filled with an assortment of chemicals being hit by lightening in such away that simple "life" forms are formed in the chemical reaction that follows. This "life" not only survives but thrives on what you ask... DON'T.... Then abracadabra it starts to evolve and gains complexity and thrives on what you ask.. the "life" that didn't evolve.. You think that the atheist don't have faith... I wish I had that much faith..

It depends on WHY a person is an atheist. Personally, I think that if a human being is really intelligent they are agnostic. Because we really don't know for sure if there is a God or not, do we? I am open for all revelations on the topic of 'God'. If a person isn't open minded about 'God', they have something to prove.

Why would that be funny? Generally atheists are smarter than Christians.

What's funny is that they are. Unfortunately, we can't give you people a state exam before giving you the right to vote. If only we could... It appears that about 99% of you Christians don't have a true high school level of education, based on the nonsense I see you posting about Christian "science".

It's actually quite sickening to me. You make me embarrassed for you.

That is one of the most intelligent arguments for Christianity that I have heard.

It's tantamount to saying, "Nuh-uh!"

Atheists believe they have their answers and Christians believe they have theirs. Never the twain shall meet.

Well, I have to admit that this well thought out, detailed, incredibly intelligent argument proves all us atheists dead wrong.

I'll just run along now and convert to the first cult that comes along...
