GOD created the human being with a free mind means he can think, act and do things of his/her own. But his freedom is limited in the sense that we cannot change our body's functions. For eg. GOD has given me eyes to see and tounge to talk, I cannot change its function to vice versa because the function of my body is fixed by GOD and I have no choice, I cannot change it.
Where as the GOD who has given us freedom to think and act has clearly shown to us the right and wrong paths. Through the prophets he delivered message to the humanity to get them to the right way. If he has not given freedom then he can either fix us to the right path or wrong path just like our body's functions were fixed. GOD just not given freedom but showed us two paths, one is the right one and another the devil way ... so its upto us to chose. You can either be a devil and go against the GOD or follow his path. GOD is our creator and he never do injustice to his creatues, he has given us a stipulated time to live in this world and prove our mettle. ...He spoken to us through Bible, Quran, Bagawat Gita and many other scriptures... open your eyes and heart .....and see the GOD

Yes our God gives us freedom to chose.God has given us some warnings and exited information and a perfect guide life in our holy books in line with our era.The last and original holy book is Al Qur'an which has been delivered through Muhammad prophet.
God gives us freedom to select the good deeds and the wrong one with its related consequencies.Al Qur'an tells us what can be done in a right path and what can not be done as a wrong path.We should often pray to our God asking for God's guidance that we can know the right path and we can not be tempted by satans.Satans vowed to our God that they will tempt people along their lives. They are not died and they only will die on the day in resurrection. They married and have many children. So this earth are full of satans. We should avoid them by increasing our faith to our God Almighty.

In nature, freedom simply exists. It is a natural state. Someone can deny you freedom, but cannot give it to you. It's kind of like the scientific idea that there is heat and that cold is the absence of heat, but cold itself is not a form of energy like heat. The more appropriate question therefore is did or does God deny us freedom?

Of course the whole question presupposes the existence of an inteventionary God, an entity with conscious thought who cares what we do.

If I grant you the first precept, that there is an interventionary God and that he, she or it takes a direct interest in what we do and further that God seeks to influence what we do, then it could be argued that God seeks to deny us freedom by imposing consequences on our actions according to God's desires to shape our behavior.

However, given that freedom is the natural state of existence, God did not give us freedom.

Yes. If you had a robot, would you really enjoy it as it would serve you faithfully but would it be because it loved you or because it was just programmed that way? Now, would it not be much better if that robot would serve you out of love for you than just out of a program that said it had to? God did not want a robot that was programmed to serve Him but a human that would serve HIm out of love. Love is the main key here as a robot does not love, it only obeys the commands that are given it. We, on the other hand, have the freedom to either love and serve God or to go our way and serve other gods if that is our choice. He tells us what will be the outcome if we do but we still have the freedom to choose which way we want to go. So we were given freedom of choice out of love for us so we could have a choice to love or not to love our Creator.

It was clay and water with which God created Carl Sagan, the seed of living beings and among living beings, God created man. With an independent self, to put him in the test and to see, how he responds independently to the Commandments of The God, The Lord Almighty.

It was a perfect creation, with a perfect free discretion. God blessed him with a female to raise tribes and generations and to spread them on the earth and to address them always through The Lords messengers. God ordained for him and for his dependents a day of judgement and created heavens of his own choice and hells against his choice. So, O the Mankind! Always choose Gods will to be safe, because between God and you there is no one to affect the judgement of your Lord.

Listen to the Lord! All the tribes, generations and people. God blessed you with freedom of choice and captured you from the top of your head after your creation. God ordained death to declare the end of the test. Nothing is like this but the test ordained for you by your God, The All Able Lord.
God created everything, the whole universe and then created ‘you’ and gave you the knowledge of good and bad. So do good, because God wants you to do good to meet the good of God.

In the world of reality, whatsoever is captured by the senses, seen or unseen is real. In the world of faith, whatsoever is captured by the senses, seen or unseen is unreal and can never be held as God because the Real God can never be imagined by imagination and can never be captured by the senses. The Real God is Real; and can be realized by the creatures in faith only. After the acceptance of faith and practice of good deeds and by the answer of the prayers asked in the presence of God, God is almost realized by the heart. Once God is realized, God is realized forever and only then one can realize the reality of The Real God.

God says:
‘I and I Alone am God
and all other gods are unreal.’
We know all other gods are very much seen and can be perceived and imagined easily. Since, they are imaginable images, they can be destroyed and that is what makes them Unreal.

Yes,God gave us freedom even to deny him. However the freedom given by God is subject to the limitations arising out of giving freedom to all people, animals. plants and other living things. So you will find that there are lot of restrictions in exercising your freedom

God did give freedom, if you look at all religions collectively. And it is not the freedom to "accept him or not" as Christians would say. In my opinion, no religion is wrong and they all accept God in their own way. In that sense, you have freedom to choose anything you want.

well, in the christian sense, not really. free will is a hoax which they use to try to get you to think that they aren't forcing you into anything.

let me explain.

the choice is, obey god or go to hell, a place of eternal torment and suffering. that is the choice christianity presents to us.
its exactly the same as eddie izzard saying "cake or death?" where the only logical answer is cake, right? you don't want to suffer, you don't want to die. in the same way, most people would not choose endless suffering over eternal paradise.
its not a choice like chocolate or vanilla is a choice, its a choice that is structured for there to only be one correct answer.

kinda like polling, but that's another issue....

so you think you're making a choice.

the real choice that most won't tell you is, do you want to be a sheep or a leader. do you want to follow what thousands of years shows is problematic at best? or do you want to lead your OWN problematic life. that's the choice.

i'm not saying that christianity is wrong, some people like to be taken care of and coddled, it's nice sometimes.

yes God gave us freedom......the fact that he knew before He created the earth how and when we would be born and how we would live our life does not change the fact that we have the freedom to choose what we do in life.
