i have installed about 30 of these in my life.....if installed right, with caulking at the overlapping seams and bottoms they r fine.....prep is the key......

if you have an old, real bath tub and shower i would say keep that looking good, theres nothing really good about a cheap plastic shower/tub surround other than its CHEAP.
Newer is not always better

it looks nice but water can seep Thur cracks, rot out the wood behind it. if you are paying to have it done make sure they use a good sealer on it...........good luck & hope you like it
