Not everyone does. Some people get silly, some get mean, some decide they love absolutely everybody and have to tell them that over and over and over. And, some people cry.

Alcohol is a depressant, and it makes it hard to control your emotions. So, if someone is even slightly unhappy about something, they may be reduced to tears when drunk because they simply can't stop focusing on that bad part of their life.

Some people do, most don't. People with emotional problems or who feel sorry for themselves are the most apt to cry when under the influence. Alcohol reduces a person's control over his emotions so that the emotions he feels strongest at the moment will generally surface. If a person is happy and balanced, he will be happy and balanced even with alcohol in him. If there are a lot of repressed emotions, alcohol will tend to lessen the control one has over them and the persons actions will express his emotional turmoil.

My question to you is, "What is too much to drink?" Does it have to do with driving or remaining sober. Maybe a person needs to be inebriated in order to let off some steam. Are you saying the person is too drunk for your comfort or tastes? If that's the case, then you need to think more about why the other person wanted to drink enough to become inebriated. We all tend to limit the world around us, and limit others, with our own limited perceptions and expectations. Because you won't do something in a given manner doesn't mean another person shouldn't. What is too much for you may not be quite enough for another person.

Pretty good question. Thanks for asking it.

I don't know, my mom does it. I hate being around her when she's been drinking too much, she cries and talks about being such a bad mom for us. It's really sad...I am not a sobby drunk though. I laugh and dance and then get serious. I'm the one sitting on the kitchen floor having deep philosophical discussions with the drunk guy that I just met.

Not everyone does. Only people that can't handle their alcohol. I hate drinking with those people, they are so annoying. Why drink if its going to send you into a depression?

Alcohol is a mood altering drug, which means it plays with the seratonin levels in our brains. It is also a depressant.
