The same as any other Police officer. After having served a period of time on the streets you may be eligible to apply to become an Authorised Firearms Officer (AFO).

You need a higher level of fitness, and a regular eyesight and hearing test which you must pass annually i think.

You do a 5 week firearms course which is intensive and has a high drop out rate, if you pass this then you may be eligible to go on to the ARV's

At an interview that would probably be the first question you would be asked. If you don't know the answer now, forget about guns and killing people.
