tihar jail is so famous because it is the biggest jail in asia with all the facilities like having staff quarters for its workers. & it has the largest capacity to occupy prisoners,
ine more reason that it is so famous because indira gandhi's assasinant was given capital punishment here only.
one unique feature about this is that it is located on the mao=in road.
