Making such generalization just because you find some eccentrics would be a grave error of judgment.

Mr Methuselah, my man,
It's a really important question, but to get to the level of a genuine debate that the 'atheists' can engage you in, you need to cut down on the loaded language, clear up the thinking, and re-phrase your argument more neutrally and logically.
Examples:
"They want to destroy religion"
is just reflecting back the speaker's belief that religion should be preserved. It does not carry you forward at all.
"and teach our children there is no God."
Not very logical. 'Atheism', if such a thing exists, is not largely taught as a coherent 'subject'. But many schools and organisations DO instruct kids that there IS a 'God', so the spread of 'atheism' seems severely disadvantaged, surely?
"They advocate human experimentation..."
I don't follow an organised religion THEREFORE I support - what - stem cell research? Is that logically true or defensible?
Hands up if you don't follow an organised religion and DO support stem cell research.
OK.
Hands up if you don't follow an organised religion and DON'T support stem cell research.
OK.
There seems to be a diversity of views there, no?
"...and reject all moral foundation."
Again, this is an empty assertion that is merely repeating to the reader what the maker of the statement already believes.
(I tell you, "All Norwegians love fish", and that statement becomes my proof to you that all Norwegians love fish.)
Maybe you should collect your various posts together, clean them up, and re-post.
But, still, I respect you for airing it.
Peace, I gotta chew a bone now.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! : )
PS - re-read that 'nhbaritone' guy's post above, for a concise summary of the actual substance of the case against your assertions.

Hehehe...depends what you mean by "our society". Whose society is "ours"? The god-believing, right-thinking, weapon-carrying folk? Or the multicultural, universally accepting and integrated society where everyone is equal under the law irrespective of what they believe? If we're talking about a society here that tells people that one god is right and all the others are wrong and people who believe anything other than the teachings of a single religious book are going to some unimaginable agony when they die...then yeah, I'd be delighted to be thought of as Public Enemy Number One.
If we're talking about the second kind of society, then neither atheists or terrorists are a particularly effective threat. The greatest threat to that sort of society is immature reasoning, of the kind that says a gun increases safety levels, or phone-tapping increases civil liberties. That kind of silliness is a threat not only to society but to our ability to hold our heads up in the company of people who reason in a mature and grown-up manner.
Oh and just while we're on it, atheists don't reject all moral foundation - many of them believe that as they only have this life to live, they should be a very positive force while they're here. Small point, but thought it should probably be made.

I'm not certain that telling lies about atheists is the best way to set yourself up as a moral paragon.
A. Have your religion. Just allow me not to have one.
B. Public education should be religion neutral. It's your responsibility to teach your children about your god, not mine.
C. Human experimentation was espoused by the Nazi's, and Hitler was Roman Catholic, not atheist. Human experimentation was espoused on Blacks in the south during the heyday of the Christian faith in the US. Atheists, who tend toward humanistic values, by and large would oppose human experimentation.
D. A moral foundation that allows humans to value one another is better than a moral foundation that espouses killing and jailing those who disagree with you.
Terrorists tend to be religious fanatics and espouse murder and war. The obvious answer to your first question is Terrorists, and hyper-religiosity running a close second.

I am not an atheist, but which is better, that or genocide? Christians have been commiting genocide many times throughout history. With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.
I guess you are one of those people who don't mind the slaughter of millions of innocent people.

Are you an atheist, why do you presume there is a consensus of opinion among us? If my observations in yahoo groups are any indications atheists like nothing better than disagreeing with one another on the subject of politics.
Who blew up the federal building in Texas? A christian. who set off a bomb at a concert during the Atlanta Olympics, rigged a pair of bombs up to try and kill police and rescue workers at a nightclub in Atlanta, killed a policeman in Birmingham with a bomb? A christian. Who blew up a truck bomb under the world trade center? muslims. Who flew planes into the same buildings? muslims. Who's wantonly slaughtering civilians in the middle east? Muslims, christians, jews.
You hypocritical @ssholes are the biggest threat to human civilization. Your moral foundation is hatred and murder of any who will not submit to the yoke of Abrahamic psychosis.

I'm not an Atheist but I think that is a close minded untrue statement. You are very confused if you think that just because someone is an Atheist that they are immoral.
Personally I think that the organized religious groups are the biggest threat to our society with all of their hate and exclusiveness not to mention how they try to trample all over everyone's rights in an attempt to force their beliefs systems off on our entire society.

Few years ago they were a group of smart human beings who for one reason or another questioned God and couldn't find the answers to those questions.
But now the story has changed, they have become a cult that wants to destroy every religion because they think religions have destroyed them.
Join an Atheist site or forum and see it for yourself. They act pretty much exactly the same like some religious fanatics do.

At least they don't rape our children. Check the history of your religion before you spew such nonsense.
You follow a faith based on ritualized cannibalism and human sacrifice and then accuse atheists of advocating "human experimentation"? A zygote is not a human. Apparently it takes a genius to understand (don't feel bad).
It's dimwitted zealots like you that make non-Christians ill.

No.
Religion = terrorism.
Religion is false. Children should not be indoctrinated to believe false belief, especially in public schools.
Human experimentation... what are you talking about? Pure non-sense.
What moral foundation are you talking about? Atheists don't start wars like "people of faith" do.

Reject all moral foundation? Are you insane? Do your homework before you post something like this. Atheists have never, and never will be, a threat to any society.
