My philosophy teacher said that the sight of God would kill you instantly because it would be so overwhelming a sight. But I always imagined something like a Greek god would look with long silver hair and beard. I do not want to experience what I would feel like now, I would rather wait until I go to Heaven.

I really like your question. It's good to reflect sometimes.
I believe He looks like Jesus Christ, or rather Jesus looks like Him. We're told Christ is in the express image of God. Just as Seth was in the express image of Adam, so Christ is the express image of His Father, God.
I was taught this in church several years ago, but at the time, I felt comforted by the answer - that someone knows what God looks like. Then it started to make sense that Christ would look just like God, so it felt right too.
Now, I take it as a matter of fact.

I think God will be mostly light, and to be honest I imagine him looking somewhat like my grandfather, with a strong face, no beard or anything, just strong and smiling. The thing I can see more prominent than His face are His outstretched arms, waiting for me to run right into them. That would be the embrace to end all others :)

IF there is a God, there is no way that man would be able to depict what he/it would look like. The human mind is far to limited at this time to be able to understand such a concept. We can hardly fathom earthly things, there is no way we could understand the appearance of 'God'. We don't even know what exists at the deepest depths of the ocean. If we don't fully understand our own planet, how could we begin to understand something untangable?

I am not sure what -if there be- God is, but I don't think it has a shape that can be described. It is different -if there be- (i wouldn't say superior) from what we are, therefore i can't have a picture...
Giving a shot, from what i can tell by my ?experience? I would say God is in everyone's -if there be- soul, being the energy, life itself. (I was raised and baptised christian orthodox, but i don't think priests of nowadays have the truth.)

You can't know what God looks like because he is a spirit. He is a God of dynamic energy. You or me will never know what he looks like but you can develop a relationship with him by studying the Bible.

I think He's gonna look like a big strong muscaly guy, with long grey hair and a long beard. And I think He's gonna wear clothes like they did in the Bible times...
