I'm with all these people who say 'So you know what kitty litter tastes like, huh?' I really rolled around laughing at the grape nuts one!
Honestly, how do WE know WHY? I would say have a good glass or orange juice (or two) ... I usually find that citrus is a very good deodorizer ... and suck mints. Oh! and watch your diet and drinking and smoking habits in future.

Or it could be dehydration like after a night on the booze.
