Do you feel spoiled when you go to your parents house?

lol. I have often thought the same thing. I love to go shopping in my mother's pantry, and she is a shopaholic, so sometimes when we go over there she gives me clothes that she bought but says she won't wear. I love to open the fridge and get whatever I want to eat (I remember when I was growing up there where times when the only things in the fridge was ketchup and a couple of shriveled grapes) My husband loves going over there too because my dad will say "Hey, Mark, I bought such and such tool the other day, then had to go back and get a different one instead, you want it?" My kids love it too because my mom has converted one of the extra bedrooms into a playroom for them, and they can stay in there for hours before getting bored.

Yes...It's like my mom will feel the need to whip up some dinner and try to send me off with snacks etc. One time I had to stay over night at her house and I was beyond spoiled for the night and day. Then I left back.... to reality.

No because they enjoy your company. They shower you and take notice of your presence, unlike they did when you were living there. So I would enjoy it. Yeah it feels like they are spoiling you but enjoy the attention.

My Dad moved to the other side of the country to get away from me. :( But when Mum comes to visit once a year she likes to spoil me. :)

Ha...no...They have their own lives now and do not have time to spoil me with love, attention, gifts or anything anymore. I am lucky to get to have a decent conversation with them.

Yea... kinda...

When I was still in college I would go back and bum meals and all sorts of other things and thought I try not to do that anymore, I do feel like I sort of take advantage of my parents sometimes. Not sure if that's what you meant when you asked, but that's my answer. :-)

Sometimes, because even though I'm grown and have a family of my own, my mom still insists on getting things for me....something to eat or drink. Sometimes I let her, if it's not too much trouble or just tell her "No, thank you!"

yes - i do. i live 10 hours from my parents. it would prob be different if i lived closer and saw them more often. my mom, who is a fabulous cook, always prepares my favorite meals when my family goes for a visit.
