There's a neat golf course in Millersburg, Ohio, called "Black Diamond." They have a cabin right on the course that the guys can stay in, and the cabin is also right by a fully stocked lake with a row boat, so if they also like to fish, they've got it made. The course is really nice, and challenging as well!

It's $240 to stay in the cabin, and for another $48 each (per day) during the weekend, they get unlimited golf. During the week the unlimited golf is $39 per day.

Here's the website for the course -- it's got all of the info. you might need:

If you live in northeast Ohio it's probably only no more than an hour and a half away from you. I'm in Columbus and make the trip annually.

Send him down to Newark and Zanesville, it is only a couple hour drive and there are some of the best courses in the state. Both Longaberger and Eaglesticks are ranked on Golf Digests top 100 you can play. I have listed a local hotels golf package link for you. If you are looking for something farther Wheeling, WV has some great courses and a great casino and dogtrack if the guys like gambling.
