Brits having the easy job? Yeah, okay. I'll buy that for an old Iraqi dinar, one that still has Saddam's face on it.

The multiple choices here don't really apply. First, let's establish that I am neither British or American, I'm Canadian. What I say comes from my experience in the Canadian Forces.

Now, I know I'm going to be cursed at and flamed for this, but American troops are miles behind in terms of training. A soldier's best weapon is his brains. And brains are meant for learning stuff, not having a single, highly specialized job. Damnit, in my branch, I can do the job of something like 7 US sailors. And when I go to the Army side of the house, I can do the job of a dozen.

Brits have one of the best-trained militaries in the world, and they have a lot of good, real experience in their lower ranks. It's not uncommon in Commonwealth militaries to have a 10, 15, even 20 year E-5 equivalent, if not E-4. That doesn't denote stupidity. It denotes the fact that while a man has extremely good trade skills, he might not be good material for the next rank level. I mean, I've seen American E-5 and E-6 with great technical abilities, but they couldn't manage a section of 5 guys. Nor could they teach their 5 guys what they knew because they didn't know how to teach.

Also, it's approach. The American approach is "if he's not white and English-speaking, odds are it's trying to kill me" when overseas. Most other militaries have a different take on this: until he tries to kill me, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. That makes a world of difference. Oh, and so far as I can tell, Brits aren't quite as trigger-happy either. That is a huge factor.

Americans aren't trained to go into a serious situation like this, this is why when we went where we kicked the terrorist out of that area,we would do a better job in the north but Americans just aren't intelligent enough to do anything.
As for us British were ARE trained and we ARE the best there is and the best there ever was,we look after each other and we know what to do but when a commander dies the rest of the men dint know what to do because they are trained to think for themselves, this is why the Americans have addmitted that we ahve the best trained military in the world and they need us badly.
If the Brits had the easy jo they would approach the matter a lot more professionally then those american did.As for being popular Britain is the most popular country in the world, that was 25 of the top countries voting for britain because we are just better then america in almost every way and we've saved your *** in WW 1& 2.
Get your facts right before you say something because all of you Americans are stupid.

The answer is none of the above. Because, you see, the insurgents and terrorists fighting against coalition forces right now appear to hate Americans more than they hate anyone else, except, of course, each other when sectarian tensions come into play.

I don't know why you would want to flame Americans regarding the war in Iraq. I would hope that they both would protect each others back equally. We are on the same side the last I knew.
