Currently he is German. But he was also born in Poland not long back.

Martin Luther was not the first person to claim that the pope is the anti-Christ. John Wycliffe came to the same conclusion some 200 years before Luther did. Unlike Luther, Wycliffe had everything to loose and nothing to gain from proclaiming this, but he did it anyway because that is what he believed. Let us examine the facts.

What is the beast (the anti-Christ)? It is a religious power that rises out of Europe after the fall of Rome (and 3 of the tribes of the fallen empire are taken out) that acts as sovereign nation. It has much wealth and wants to change the laws of God.

"And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. “(Daniel 7:24 - 25 KJV)

The history of Europe settles the matter. There were 10 kingdoms that formed directly after the fall of Rome. After three kingdoms were taken out (the Vandals, Lombards, and Huns), the "Bishop of Rome" rose to power and formed what we now know as the Roman Catholic Church and this position is now known as the pope. With this power, the pope has changed God's times and laws. Many Christians no longer observe the Sabbath (God's time and God’s law) because the pope has instituted Sunday worship; the Roman Catechism even has a different set of Ten Commandments in it than the Bible's. It is also obvious that this kingdom represented by the little horn is different from all the others. The Vatican is a nation that has great wealth (the little horn wares an expensive crown earlier in Daniel chapter 7) but is very small (like a little horn among big ones) and is wholly ruled by a religious leader unlike any other nation in Europe today. The Vatican is a nation because the USA has an ambassador to the Vatican.

There are even more clues to point to the papal system as being the anti-Christ.

"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." (Revelation 13:3 KJV)

The pope was taken out of power and made prisoner (wounded) in 1798 by Napoleon. But, the pope was miraculously healed from his deadly wound in 1929, by Premier Mussolini if Italy who gave the pope all his power back!

The whole world has wondered after the pope. Just look at everyone that attended the funeral of the late John Paul II - leaders of almost every nation in the world!

Also, we find this of the anti-Christ. " And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. (Revelation 13:5 - 6 KJV)

What is blasphemy? "The act of claiming for oneself the attributes and rights of God." (American Heritage Dictionary)

Does the pope blaspheme?

"Against this background of love towards Holy Church, 'the pillar and bulwark of the truth' (1 Tim 3:15), we readily understand the devotion of Saint Francis of Assisi for 'the Lord Pope', the daughterly outspokenness of Saint Catherine of Siena towards the one whom she called 'sweet Christ on earth'" (Pope John Paul II, Apostolic Exhortation VITA CONSECRATA, (On The Consecrated Life And Its Mission In The Church And In The World), March 25, 1996.)

"The Pope is of so great dignity, and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God. and the vicar of God." (Ferraris Ecclesiastical dictionary)

"All names which in the Scriptures are applied to Christ, by virtue of which it is established that He is over the church, all the same names are applied to the Pope." (On the Authority of the Councils, book 2, chapter 17)

"The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth." (Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, "Cities Petrus Bertanous")

""To believe that our Lord God the Pope has not the power to decree as he is decreed, is to be deemed heretical." (the Gloss "Extravagantes" o.f Pope John XXII *** inter, Tit. XIV, Cap. IV. Ad Callem Sexti Decretalium, Paris, 1685)

I would say he dose! The pope also claimes to be able to forgive sins. The bible clearly says that this is blasphamy.

"Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?" (Mark 2:7 KJV)

I think the papal system matches up with the anti-Christ too much to be a coincidence.

The Antichrist will appear in the Middle East probably Israel.

Jesus is the Christ. There is a second coming of Jesus during the final days. The Antichrist will come before Jesus comes and will claim the he is the Christ. In Islam Antichrist is referred as Masih - ad Dajjal ( The False Messiah ). The Antichrist have not yet come. He will come only after Mahdi ( a successor of Prophet Muhammad ) establishes the Islamic Caliphate. Mahdi will bring peace & justice to the world which by that time will be full of chaos.

Mahdi will fight the Antichrist but will not be possible to defeat the Antichrist. Then the real Christ (Jesus) will appear and by him only will the Antichrist be defeated.

The Antichrist will be born in a Western European Country and also possibly one of the smaller countries because the book of Daniel tells us he will become strong with a small people.
Daniel 8:8-10 gives the location. In Daniel 8:8-10 we see something interesting, it appears as if the Antichrist rises from Greek empire, but we know that he will rise from the Revived Roman Empire because Daniel has already sited the Roman empire as where the prince shall arise from.

Daniel 8: 8-10
8 Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven. 9 And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land. 10 And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them.

As Daniel Bible Prophecy points out, this leader comes from the four winds which are north, south, east, west and represent the directions of the compass. According to Daniel Bible Prophecy the four notable ones:

Initially the entire kingdom went to Alexander’s natural brother Phillip Aridaeus, and then to his two infant sons Alexander Aegus, and Hercules. Within a very short time these were all killed so there was no natural heir to the throne, and the battle ensued between the 36 generals for control of the kingdom. Eventually it was divided between four— exactly as the prophecy stated. These were Cassander who had Macedonia and Greece in the west, Lysimachus who had Thrace and a large part of Asia Minor in the north, Ptolemy who had Egypt and a part of Syria in the south, Seleucus who had the bulk of the Persian Empire from Syria eastward.

This verse is talking about Cassander who ruled over Macedonia and came under Roman rule in 146 BC. Macedonia , which later became the area that was the heart of the Christianity. West of Macedonia is the Continent of Europe as it stands today and also during the time of Christ. While this lets us know that the Antichrist will come from the area of the Revived Roman Empire, it provides a glimpse to Greece’s in the Roman Empire at the time of the early church and also hints that it will be part of the Revived Roman Empire in the latter days.

Hmm... according to various interpretations of Nostradamus, the antichrist has already come and gone about 5 times.
But I suppose in reality the antichrist will probably be born in Poland or Italy because Popes tend to come from there, or in the USA because that's where American Presidents come from.

Some theories say that the Antichrist will be born in Euorpe somewhere, but I don't have any specific Bible verses to reference for that at the moment.

The Ant-Christ was born in Greece. Read Daniel 7 and an Angel tells him the A.C. will arise out of the fourth beast, the Revived Roman Empire/European Empire.

Then in Daniel chapter 8, Gabriel tells Daniel the A.C. will arise out of one of Alexander the Greats Four Generals Kingdoms in the latter time. So the A.C. must arise out of both Kingdoms, so all we have to do is figure which two kingdoms overlap.

Greece is the only country that overlaps with the European Union.

The Answer is GREECE.

This is probably not the right answer but I can't resist. If the other person who answered said that the "dajal" or the "antichrist" will be born somewhere around Iran, then maybe he is already in power. Ahmadinejad is definitelly a powerful guy that's full of hate. Maybe he's the "dajal"

Sorry--I think it already happened a long time ago. Revelation was writted by John of Patmos, and I don't think he was writing about now, but about his own time. He lived under Roman occupation. Nero was considered one of the most evil of the Roman emporers. This was especially true of the Jews, since he had defiled the Temple of Jerusalem by putting his own statue in there and making it a pagan temple. There was a form of Greek numerology at the time (John was Greek) which converted letters to numbers, and Nero's name translated to 666. There was an alternate spelling which translated to 686, and an early manuscript of Revelation referred to the mark of the beast as 686. I think it's more likely that he was writing to churches of his time in a way that would disguise his intentions from the Romans than that he would be writing about things which would occur at least 1,700 years in the future.

Antichrist is the dajal, which some ppl says that the dajal will emerge at Isfaahan, somewhere near iran and will be killed somewhere near the israeli airport by jesus..the muslims believe that by that time Jesus is a follower of Muhammad and will be a Muslim and no longer a prophet.one of his and one of his eyes is blind
DAJJAL will be short, and his legs will be crooked. The hair on his head
will be extremely twisted...... If you have any doubt regarding DAJJAL,
remember that your Sustainer (ALLAH), is not one eyed
