Well when you look at the two words together, it's basically only the letter 'd' that seperates them which makes you think they are kinda the same thing. Evil comes from Devil, but it all depends on what you believe.... :-)

Evil is the opposite of anything good, pure and kind. The devil or Satan is the author of lies and deceitfulness and hatred which he is opposite of God. The devil and evil go hand in hand.

Word evil term is use for some act , thing ... where as devil term can be used for an individual......like air bombing innocent people is evil and who does these work are devil..........
