no less then 8 ga, but i would go with 4 just to be safe. also go with 4 cause later you might want to upgrade your amp.

10 guage would work fine, but if you want you can use 8 or bigger. no matter what size wire you use, your real size is going to be the little connection to the amp. you cant make that any bigger.

8AWG. Anything bigger is overkill. You can actually get away with 10, but I believe 8 is more common and easier to get a hold of.
