I use the Crock Pot every weekend. We are Jewish and keep the Shabbos...I'm not allowed to cook from Friday night to Saturday night. So, come Friday when I get home, I prepare whatever I feel like serving for Shabbos (the Sabbath) lunch.
Last week I made a thick soup with Barley, Lentils, Split Peas, potatoes, garlic, onion and mushrooms. It was very good, my next door neighbor came over with his own bowl and asked for some! (he does this frequently...LOL).
Also, making chicken with potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, garlic and white wine comes out very good. This can even be done on a weekday, prepare before you leave for work, set at low. Come home and serve.
Yum!

The BEST recipe I got off the 'net' for a CROCKPOT is FANTASTIC!!! You only put in a raw chicken....cover it with a whole jar of 'barbeque sauce' and let it simmer for 8 hours. !!! Guaranteed absolutely scrumptuous !!!!!!!!!! everyone I have given this recipe to just loves it!!
