One time my husband started to pull out of a parking lot, and my door was still open. It hit the car next to us and left a paint mark. We went into the restaurant we had been leaving and asked whose car it was. When no one claimed it, the owner, who has seen us in there many times, decided that the car belonged to someone who shouldn't be parked there, and we should just leave it, so we did, though we felt pretty guilty.

No I haven't.
But if I did slightly bump into someone,
I would check it out.
If I don't see any damage,
then I will just take off.
Otherwise,
I will scribble a quick note saying
sorry and what my contact information was.
I always keep a disposable camera in my car
for such occasions,
so I would take a picture of the car with the note on it
to protect myself in court.
Court likes to see evidence!

No I never have. If I hit a parked car I would at least leave a note with my name & number. I truly believe what goes around comes around, and I would want someone to be honest if they did that to my car.

OK you got me. I was just learning how to drive and needed to run home from the gym to grab my bag. So I decided to take off no one would know it would just be a minute. I was pulling out and rubbed my bumper on the side of a car. I ran inside and had my husband look at it he told me that it would just wipe off and not to worry but I still think about if they got super mad when they saw it.

Nope, but I always wondered what I would do if I did bump someone else's car if they weren't around. I think I would have to be honest and leave a note or something. =)
