I agree with you for sure :-)
If you wish, I'd gladly help with any plans you have to put things right. Plans for World Domination are a bit slow this week and I need a new challenge :-)
By the way, I'm being serious here, many times I've had to ignore even the off-license because of the Beer costs. And annoying distractions like Credit Card bills don't help :-(

Instead of paying pub prices, save up for a few weeks, buy the equipment and ingredients and make your own. I don't drink beer, but I do drink wine and home brew is a lot stronger than commercial wines. Once you start brewing and get the beginnings of a cellar, you'll never be short of friends and will have visitors at all times of the day.

good. maybe it will encourage the lazy layabouts that my taxes are paying to sit on their fat lazy a r s e s to gett up and get a damn job! im sick of working for other people to sit at home and watch tv all day. the more i earn the more ii have to pay towards them! its rediculous! the government should stop encouraging people to be lazy layabouts and if people dont show some effort of trying to get a job, stopping their benefits. ok people who are genuinelly disabled or sick then they shouldnt have to work if they really cant but theres a difference between those who cant and those who wont. stupid excuses like "im a single parent and i have to look after my kid" - im a single mum, the government pay for my daughter to go to a childminder and i earn £20,000 a year in an office. i get up at 5 am and dont stop til 8pm when my daughterr goes to bed and i dont complain. if i can do it, anyone can. (PS £20,000 is above average for the area i live in - just in case you're in london and think thats a rubbish salary).

Genius. In the sixties you could buy 70 pints of beer on your dole money. In London that would cost £210 now. Humm the Dole does not reach that figure for one person

Job Seekers Allowance [UK] is a big joke. £56 p/w.
Once the cost of electricity/gas, council tax, travel is deducted very little is left over for basic sustenance and clothing. Despite being virtually t-total, I enjoy a few occasional cans of GUINESS. Which is a tonic.

It's not meant to keep up with the cost of beer! It's designed around being able to live with essentials only, beer is a luxury!

Get a job then you can buy as many beers as you want.If it was that easy to treat ourselves while in receipt of benefits no one would be working. So get a life and get a job.
