My friends have to convert to islam when they marry a muslim. Their children also has to become muslims. We do not have that rule in other religions. Why is that they are so aggressive? The muslims mosques in Asia are also rewarded monetry by middle east if they can increase the population of islam followers. Why is it so important for them? are they hungry for power in the world ?

catholics do the same thing and christians are warned not to marry non christians ect but yes the muslims would love the world to be muslim

The purpose of Marriage in Islam is starting a Family, so in the case of a Muslim man marrying a woman outside Islam's circle, their children -even if by a non-muslim mum- would grow up as muslims. Whilst in the case of the woman marrying a non-muslim means that her children would be non muslims. So if she wants to marry a non-muslim she needs to be sure that he'll convert.

I have seen some christians that wouldn't get married to non-christians...and some jews that wouldn't get married to someone they love unless he/she converts to Judism....so don't try to stick this to Islam only!
If a muslim and a non-muslim love each other and want to get married,they should think about the future life of their children as later each one will want his child to follow his religion,If they can tolerate and handle this problem nicely then no problem or else...!
In Islam a muslim man can marry a non-muslim woman and not vice-versa as the children are more likely to follow their father's religion.
And i'll tell you that if you return to a church or a mosque you will find the priest saying that its better for you to marry someone of your religion and its sometimes prohibited to marry someone of other religion especially if you are a woman of this or that religion that wants to get married.
And didn't you see the churches that try to increase their followers by any means mainly in africa,the popes who make the most people convert to christianity will get rewarded!
So just try to have a general idea and be more open-minded of everything and don't be biased!

A Muslim man can marry a Christian woman, who does not have to always convert. My uncles wife never converted to Islam but she respects his religion as well as any traditions that he practices. Most importantly, discuss this subject before you get married because religious differences can cause major problems in a marriage.

A non muslim jew or christian woman can be married to a muslim man for pleasure and stay that way. I muslim woman must always marry a muslim man because the head of the house is the man ... and he must uphold islam.

Muslim woman have to marry Muslim men cuz the children's religoin will be like the dad. If a cristian woman maries a muslim man she doesn't have to convert but her children will be muslims. A muslim woman can't marry a cristian man cuz the children will be cristians and it's forbidden to do that. And no we're not "hungry for power in the wolrd" please don't write such things.

I didn't know I could get paid for making babies... I mean I see many people in USA do this to get money from government (mostly blacks and hispanics) but getting paid to make religious babies... Now that's something I gotta look into.
About your friend converting to Islam before marriage, she has a choice to just say no and move on, is the guy standing on her head with a gun asking her to do that? If she doesn't agree, she shouldn't do it.
Sounds like to me, it's you who are having hard time believing that she has to decided to convert.

it's not a must however a muslim man likes his family to become a muslim thats all
i am a muslim and i like everyone to become muslim as i expect that you -in your faith- like everyone to be like you- to some point of course
