entrapment is where the government had someting to do with you committing the illegal act. For example if a man was a police officer and in the bar and he keep buying you drink after drink, he may be guilty of entrapment if he then arrested you for DUI.
roadblocks are an issue of probable cause for the stop, not entrapment. But it is not illegal because the courts have ruled they are not.

First of all...
Driving is a Privilege and NOT a right!
Secondly...
There is "Implied Consent", so whenever you are on the road and you are driving suspiciously, they can pull you over (or aside for a road block) and check YOU out. If they have further suspicions, they have the right to search.
About "Road Blocks"...
They are there for the protection of the community. Sometimes sobriety check points are put up to get people who think they can drink (or be under the influence of anything) and then drive on the road. This usually means that BEFORE they gotten stoned (or whatever) they didn't care enough to get a "Designated Driver" who would drive them home safely and keep others safe on the road. I have seen TOO MANY crosses and flower memorials on the sides of many roads where people were hit, side-swiped, and killed. (And the driver didn't even KNOW they hit them because they were unaware or "Blacked Out" while driving)
Sometime roadblocks are a net for specific criminals who had just recently commited a crime. And sometimes it's for an AMBER ALERT in a localized area and they are searching for the missing person.
=====
So don't think it is anything PERSONAL against you, and in no way can it be "Entrapment". Because that would imply they are SETTING YOU UP to do a crime, and roadblocks can't set ANYONE UP for a crime.

a roadblock is not entrapment because the definition of entrapment is "To lure into performing a previously or otherwise uncontemplated illegal act" A roadblock doesn not convince you to do something illegal they are just catching you doing something illegal. Also you generally see a roadblock long before you are at it. If you are that worried about it turn around

Anytime public safety is of concern, there is no legal leg to stand on. Providing that your vehicle , ie; tags insurance and the like are all in order and you're not under the influence you should fly through a roadblock w/ flying colors. More often than not, roadblocks ensure the safety of our highways by keeping drunk drivers off the road and uninsured motorists off the road

Entrapment means to make or encourage someone to do an illegal act.
For Example....if a police officer was standing outside a high school telling kids to buy drugs, telling them "come on try it....just this once" and after convincing them to buy some... arrests them on the spot for it.... that would be entrapment.
In no way, shape or form is a road block entrapment because it does not encourage drinking and driving...doing drugs....having a suspended license...having an expired tag...ect...ect....ect... It is more or less catching you doing what you are not suppose to do.

Entrapment means "To lure into performing a previously or otherwise uncontemplated illegal act." ..nothing done at a roadblock or what I think you probably mean a "checkpoint" fits the definition of entrapment.

Imagine a little game controller, that, if you push the wrong button, you kill your best friend or loved-one. Or you die. This thing didn't exist one hundred years ago. Now we have it. It's called a car.
Over 30,000 people die in cars every year. Ooops. Well, maybe it's a bad idea to let drunk people or poor drivers play the game. But how to stop them? A test every time you want to drive? That might be more fair. Driving is potentially deadly every time you do it, to someone. Walking is really not. So, we need to do something more to stop those horrible, horrible deaths of innocent children, walking right next to their homes, on the sidewalk - hit by the neglectful drivers.
Put yourself in their mothers' situations. Your child just failed to breathe when you lifted it's limp body into your arms and screamed. We fail to put life and safety of others into top priority, until it happens to us. And then we are the minority, screaming at people like we used to be, angry at those who want to control us, slow us down, tell us what to do...
