After my divorce,my daughter nagged me to get back on the dating scene,so I reluctantly answered a few dating ads in a local free newspaper.I went out with 11 very different men,but finally gave up of ever finding anyone.Then my daughter saw an ad put in by a local man,once more I tried again, vowing to give up and ignore my daughter,but I rang him and we talked on the phone for 4hours and had lots in common,he asked me out that same night and I knew straight away he was the one.We`ve been together 8yrs,5yrs married.It was the best phone call I ever made and I only have praise for my daughter now.So it is possible to meet the man of your dreams through dating agencies or newspaper ads.There will always be the guys just looking for a leg over,but you can usually tell which they are straight away.One guy asked me my dress size before he would meet me and another thought we were going to get into the back seat of my car!!needless to say they did`nt get far.So you just go for it girl,by the way I was 45 at the time.

My husband found me when he went through the personal ads. We have been together and married for almost 5 years now. It's the best marriage one can ever imagine.
Although I had to 'kiss a lot of toads' to get my prince charming, a lot of prayers for divine guidance did help. He is Irish, and lived in London, U.K. at that time. I am from Manila. We met on my terms..and now we live happily ever after.
He is 54 yo now and I am 46 yo.

Youll know when you meet him! I met my man at a movie called The Rocky Horror Picture Show...talk about weird places to meet someone! Just take youre time and dont rush anything, your true love is out there somewhere!

Tough one. I would say I'm right here or something prosaic like that but girls think I'm too nice to be a boyfriend. My advice would be when out at on the pull keep an eye out for the quiet ones who aren't making pillocks out of themselves, they are usually good guys. I know this because I'm one of them.

you go and socialize make male friends, maybe it will lead on to something more.. join a club or go and find a hobby in which you know youl meet men. you wont find one sat on your **** infront of a computer screen 24/7. have confidence, smile alot and most importantly have a laugh, flutter your eyes too lol
