sony and olympus got different models , first u should decide how much money u want to pay for ur camera , then u can choose some models (some sony and some olympus ) then in ur question ask ur friend , that which model is better !. bcuz some model in sony are better than olympus and some model in olympus are better than sony , it is a little depends on the money u want to pay ! .

I have an Olympus and I love it.
I don't think a Sony could be better.
Maybe equal but Sony is a big electronics company and is very diversified.
Olympus puts all their resources into digital imagery.
I like my Sony TV but I LOVE my Olympus camera.

Neither. I have a Nikon Coolpix L1 and it is awesome. It cost me about $210 at Costco recently.
I have owned an Olympus, and it was great until it BROKE. It also suffered with CCD array charging, which meant that I had to discharge it once in a while. That took 8 hours, so if I did not discharge it before a trip, I couldn't use it.
I would never buy SONY.... they are baloney.
Professional photographers use Canon for the best color.

I have an Olympus digital camera and it works great!!! It is easy to use and takes great pictures.
I also have a Sony video camera. Also it works great but for the only camera I don't trust Sony while Olympus is great.

my sony cybershot p150 has 7.2 megapixels and my dad's olympus has only 5.1, so sony
