He says they say it could be kidney failure.but wont tell me for sure what is going on. I think that i have a right to know and help!!! If there is a way to get these plz tell me!! It is tearing me a part not knowing what is going on with him and what we can do to treat it.

if you all have been together for some time and this is a disease or problem that will effect his health then yes, because you would like to know what you could do to either prevent the situation or make it less strainful. AT least he actually goes to the dr my husband would go until he just can't walk.

You can not legally access another's medical records unless they are your minor child or you have guardianship of that person. If he does not care to share the information with you, then he has decided it is none of your business and you need to respect that. Talking to his doctor will do no good since legally the doctor can not tell you anything.
In regards to what KatB said about him not being honest with you.... you are not being honest with him either by invading into his personal life when he wishes you not to. Being someone's mate does not permit us to know EVERYTHING about them. Trust is developed by trusting the other person to make the right decision. If after 11 years you do not trust him to decide what to share and what not share with you, then you need to be looking at your contributions to this relationship rather than looking at his medical records.

You cannot access someone's medical records. That's illegal. If a Dr or hospital were to give you info and he found out, he could sue them. Every Dr and Hospital knows this, so you'll be out of luck on this one.

You may feel like you have the right to know but according to the law you don't. If you're feeling especially devious you could somehow collect a urine sample (I'll leave that one up to you) and bring it to a doctor and say it's yours.

No you don't have a right to his medical records. Most doctors dont even release information to husbands/wife's.

No, not with out your boyfriends consent. Why don't you just ask to go to an appointment with him? And than pay your doctor a visit and get tested!

No; you can't. The new HEPA Laws prevent that.
The best thing is to develop a more honest relationship with your bf.

Personally...if he's NOT telling you something...chances are he doesn't want to either...A. NOT WORRY YOU or B. has something else he doesn't want you to know about... Honesty is a strong block in a relationship...if he's not being honest...how strong is the relationship..GOod luck with this...

No. He may be freaked and not wanting to talk right now - cut him some slack. He may want to wait and get the final word before freaking out and if it is bad news, he may need time to process it himself before coming to you

It's not possible. Haven't you heard of doctor/patient privilege?
If your bf wants to tell you he will. If you need to know that badly, then tell him how you feel about it and maybe you can loosen him up. Otherwise, it's not for you to know.

'nuff said?
