I think the answer to this is simple: many socities which are dominated by the Christian tradition persecute Muslims. The Muslims are by no means angels, they have some very sick traditions which I think has little or nothing to do with their actual religion. Who knows where they get this stuff. But that doesn't change the fact that they are unfairly persecuted and exploited for their countries' natural resources, i.e., oil.
Also, I think many Christians hate Muslims because their religion is quite vibrant. Many Christians regard their religion more as a tradtional activity rather than something that is embedded in their actual everyday lives (I realize that this does not apply to all Christians, there are definitely some devout Christians out there with a lot of integrity). For example, Muslims pray 5 times a day and are often ready to die for what they believe in. This quality is rarely found among the majority of Christians. I think that Islam basically intimidates Christians and they feel the need to attack it, because they know that it is a powerful force in the world. This inturn causes Muslims to be hateful towards the Christians. I believe that one problem in the Muslim community at this stage in their history is that they are too extreme in their thinking in regards to the persecution that they face. It is right for them to resist the West and fight back, but it isn't in their interest to say and act childishly when confronted with the question of Christianity. These Muslims need to get their head out of their butts and think for themselves instead of what all of their moronic religious leaders say.

I think, there is no hate, but truth telling. Islam claims to be a religion of peace, and in the same time calls for Jihad against the infidel! Who is infidel? Those who were called at the beginning pagans! Christians and Jews! Mohammad and his army conquered Jerusalem, and conquered Syria, which was the most ancient Christian State!
Than He ask submission to Islam to rulers, and if they refused the 3x calling, he simple attacked them. This way the islamic army attacked Persia! Tha nation was monotheist! Not pagan. But in the world of Islam, just like than, even now, who ever is not Muslim is considered infidel.
Muslim woman cannot get married to a Christian or a Jew, because by obidience, she would have to lieve the faith, if the husband demnad it!
We did not started any hate! We were conquered, and Islam was forced on us. This built a resistance. Every one, who knows history, knows the wars of Islam against Jews and Christians. Hindu, Buddhist and Zorestarian was no exception!
And as I see, powers are switched, but the fight will never end:( But how long will this power switch will last?
If humans were more meciful, as we expect God to be toward us, might we one day will live in peace?
It is time, that Islam read history, and learn about Christianity. The Crusades were nothing else, but the conquered tried to get back, what was taken from them! We call this patriotism!
National identity!!!

Muslims do not hate Christians round the world.
They hate opression, abuse and lie which Christians particulary spread about Islam. Islamophobia is a termin which was implemented not by muslims....
None muslim starts fight first. But he will definetely protect his religion as a respond on abuse. I think it is very clear.
We should look at the conflicts from both sides. Many people look only at the result which is wrong. See the roots of the hatred, may be it is justified..

Well as you can see from Bamski's reply- the muslims who hate christians are most often like that because that is what they are taught from an extremely young age.
I know of an Iranian political leader who converted to Christianity and now speaks out about Muslims. He speaks on how they don't know any different and have little understanding of unconditional love.
About how important it is to reach out and show them that God loves muslims too and sent Jesus to die on the cross for them too. The salvation that comes through Jesus Christ is available to any Muslim that accepts Christ as his or her personal savior. God loves all individuals equally, but the choise is the individuals , not the government or some other hierachy that stands over the individual and tells them what to believe.

No religion preaches hate. All religions seem to get twisted by people and used as an excuse to hate.
I don't think the extremists who hate the USA care a whole lot about our religion. What I think they don't like is our arrogance, this national policy of "we're right, you're wrong, and that's that," the fact that we throw away more in a day than most people in the world could hope to have in a year--things like that.

They hate Jews and Gentiles........
In Islam, religion and politics are joined together. Allah is not primarily interested in individuals. Love is a completely foreign concept in Islam. Allah is destined to rule the world. That is the basis of Islam. Everything else is related to this goal. The world is divided into two parts, Dar-al-Salaam meaning "House of Peace" where Allah rules and Dar-al-Harb, "House of War" where the people are not in submission to Allah and Islam.
From its inception Islam has been a religion of war. The word Islam that Mohammad took for his religion was used for a sublime virtue in Arabian culture meaning, "defiance of death, heroism; to die in battle." War is the language that Islam clearly understands.
