You're too tense and getting slight cramp. The tops of your legs are pushing against the inside of the kayak. Relax a bit, but don't forget to move them around a bit occasionally.

im a cyclist and when i first started riding my legs would hurt a lot you just have to keep at it but have rest days every so often.

palates is fantastic at working all the muscles you don't normally use. i ride horses and find it really helps me.
having said that the more you do it the easier it will become.
