why is everyone bashing christianity? people are people. If you have a bad encounter with a white person, do you automatically assume that all white people act that way? Not all Christians are evil and forcing their religion upon you. As a person, and not as a Christian, I believe that all "people" (not religions) who discriminate against another religion should be called prejudice, and I think you all suck!

obviously enough, this was a good topic. and yes, I am byest against the byest, so yes, I guess I am a hypocrite. :) most of the answers given are great answers, and quite a few of you hate me now and think that I suck, so, did I prove my point efficently? I think so. everyone has some type of bigotry in them, I suppose it is natural.

True, but after 50, 100, 150 bad encounters with whites, a discriminated against black man in southern america might start to hold a grudge against them. Christians can hardly cry discrimination as the dominant religion in America. After all, it is a christian slogan on the currency "in god we trust", and all school children are forced to pledge alleigance to america "under god", and it is the christians who are trying to rewrite biology in kansas and other states, forcing students to accept creationism or face failing grades on exams...it's the christians who call atheists evil people without morals, although, it is the fundamentalists who are responsible for making the most noise.. By definition we don't really hear from the moderates (which is the way it should be).

If you're a moderate, that's great, but let people who are being offended speak, instead of telling them to sit quietly and take it. Better yet, start noticing just how many christians feel that freedom of religion means freedom to practice _their_ religion.

no im a muslim and i love every individual regardless of his religion, race, creed and caste. well islam is against people who discriminate others beleifs and sensitivities.

i really feel sad when people r bad mouthin each other just for the sake of a religion. it does not matter if u r good muslim, christian or jew or wateva 4 that matter. all that matters is that u r good individual.

well r u a good human on 1st hand. if u r then my brother and sisters u r a good muslim too.

do u help the needy?
do u prevent unnecessary cussin about som1s religion and beleifs?
do u do good deeds?

if u r doing all that then u r without a doubt even bigger than v muslims. just labelling urself with religion is not enuf. u should learn to live upto god's xpectations as well.

If you think that people that discriminate against another religion suck, then your discriminating against a set group of people as well, and your making steriotypes about these people...So, I think you should be called a hypocryte seeing as you where hating people for judging on setriotypes, and your doing the same thing. They could be the nicest person and saved a churchfull of babies, but because maybe a chatholic molestest them at a young age they had something against cathlics. Can you really blame them for being tramatized?

Aww, bless.
Have you not READ the bible then, hun? Did you skip the bit where it tells you xtians WILL be persecuted for their beliefs?

Finding it hard to live up to your gods will, are we? Perhaps, if you actually practiced your belief, instead of just pretending to believe for emotional comfort, you would be able to rise above it all and forgive those who cannot agree to differ. But that would be going against your nature now, wouldn't it...?
Just to help you on the winding road that is understanding, the MAJORITY of alledged 'christians' on here, are FAR from pleasant to interact with. Hence the high level of distain towards xtianity as apposed to other religious beliefs on here.
As for questions you may see that 'bash' christians, if you are NOT a nasty xtian, why worry? You are the advocate of your religion. It is in YOUR best interests to be as nice and understanding as is humanly possible. Saying "I think you all suck", simply shows you have the same mentality as those you are referring to.
Did you know, the reason you don't like these people, is because you see your own faults reflected back at you through their attitudes and you find that difficult to deal with, so you react like you do. It's a common psychological situation.
Now you know though, perhaps you can better yourself with that knowledge.

Good luck.
;)

Btw, I'm not looking for best answer, as I'm SURE your mentality will force you to give it so someone who simply agrees with you(I'll check back to confirm that at a later date), as is the way most who cannot see their own faults do things on here. No, I only wish to help you on your way to enlightenment and a better understanding of yourself and those around you, without attempting to change your beliefs, as we all are entitled to our own philosophies. You see, the way I see it, regardless of belief, the more people that can transcend their base natures that hold things such as hate, deceit, hypocrisy, shallow thought, ego, etc, the better this world will be, even if only ONE person can attain this, then this world becomes less cruel.

And they were Offended for the WORD's sake.

This apply's to every Human Being.
Anybody can take Offence to what GOD SAID (or SAY's), which is the WORD of GOD.
It take's time to Grow.
It take's time to Renew your Mind.
It take's time to understand what GOD SAID (or SAY's) so that you are not Offended by the WORD in that Area anymore.

This Apply's to EVERBODY, Saved or Lost.
SEEK the TRUTH, not what a Human Being say's, unless he,she is quoting GOD.
GOD can talk through a Donkey, if HE want's to.
Listen for what GOD Said, in the BIBLE,in a church building, on the Job, at Home etc., and ask HIM to break all Deception out of your Mind everyday.
You will be surprised how much GOD will Teach you if you are Listening for the TRUTH.
Hope this helps.

Well maybe if the Christian "bad eggs" stopped discriminating against gays, women, Jews, Arabs... (list goes on) people wouldn't have a reason to discriminate against Christianity. There are all these Evangelical ******* giving your religion a bad name, they're the ones who suck.

Thats nice, im glad you think that way, non religious judge religious, the same happens the other way around also, the sooner people learn to get along and stop judging everyone because they think they have a better life/ideals the better, its a pointless exercise to ask why they do it, because they just do, best thing for the rest of us is to out of the arguement.

Because when people hate blindly or feel threatened by someone else's opinions and beliefs, they think the only way to deal with it is to put that other person down. Don't take it personally. Ignore the ignorant. Have a great day, hun.

there have been diverse tremendous people from all sorts of beliefs. Lincoln ought to've been slightly skeptical of the bible as he ended slavery even notwithstanding the bible obviously endorses it(between the important arguments that the south had). of direction they're typically incorrect about something and be tremendous men, it is extremely extremely basic in case you imagine about it. Why do you blindly keep on with men of the previous? Do you lack the potential to seriously imagine for your self? edit: it should be like me saying "why ought to all of us be christian at the same time as people from that faith have killed tens of millions of folk in crusades and different ridiculous and nonsensical acts?" the persons endorsing something would not make it incorrect or properly, purely the data remember.
