I ask this same question once in a meditation. The answer came clear as a bell.

It said I have placed you here to learn the true meaning of Love. What ever it was that was answering then told me something that really set me back. It said that I felt the way I did about certain people because I did not understand the true meaning of love. I protested and said that I did my best to love all of
the people who were deserving of love.

It replied "yes that is, you’re misunderstanding. You see love as something
that you dole out in tiny little portions here and there to people who you
have judged to be worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only
judgment". This stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that what
it was saying to me was true. This realization brought me to tears. It went
on and told me, "You treat love as though there is some shortage of it. It
is not something that you can run out of. The more love that you give, the
more love that there is in the world. Its that simple. The only way that
there can be a shortage of it is if you hoard it and keep it to yourself."

It went on to explain, that "this is what Jesus was trying to tell you when
he asked you to turn the other cheek, to judge not and to love your
neighbor. He made no exceptions in these things that he requested of you.
Why are you making exceptions, and judging some as worthy of love and others
as not? Jesus fully intended for you to apply this love that you are to all,
in a universal manner without any judgment of any sort". By this time the tears
Were flowing so freely. I was crying because for the first time in my life I
Understood what the message Jesus left for us in the bible actually meant.

This has become my truth. I can't say what yours is for sure, but I have a feeling that it is probably similar.

Love and blessings

The Bible, God's Word, is the truth and that's what Jehovah's Witnesses will tell you. In actual practice, though, they really believe that truth is whatever is currently believed by the Watchtower Society and is constantly changing. If the Watchtower says that pigs don't have wings, then that's the truth. If tomorrow the Watchtower decides that pigs have wings, then they will scratch their heads and say something like "That's deep....how thankful we are to Jehovah that we have the faithful and discreet slave to explain these things to us".

As an example, for several decades Jehovah's Witnesses would have gone to their deaths rather than agree that the "higher powers" in Romans 13: were the worldly governments. (They said No, it's Jehovah and Jesus). Actually, according to the Nov 15, 1950 Watchtower, holding to this "corrected" belief DID cost some their lives. . Then in the 1960's, the Watchtower changed its mind AGAIN and the Witnesses, like programmed robots, just accepted this teaching they had been vehemently denying for 40 years.

The Bible hadn't changed...the Watchtower had...so obviously in spite of their lip service to the Bible and "truth", their only "truth" is the Watchtower Society.

And if I'd meet you at the judgment, you'll find out that I have only testified what is the truth of Jesus Christ and His mercy. And then what is the truth? Thy Word is Truth: John 17, "Sanctify them Father, through the Truth: Thy Word is the Truth." Now, what is the Truth? Christ, the Word. (What is the Truth? The Word of God.)

There are many truths, but only one leads to eternal life in Heaven. Jesus said, " I am the truth, the light and the way."

To each of us the truth is an approximation of reality created by the sum of our past experiences, combined with the way our minds interpret that information.

The real truth is the way the universe works - and say what you like about it, but with a couple of approximations, science has got the best approximation so far. (I'm thinking of things like 'why are there tides?' and 'what are the stars' and things)

Jesus said; "Everyone on the side of the truth listens to my voice.' John 18:37

Everything God/The Father and Jesus teach is 'the truth.'

Everything the Devil teaches is a lie.

Jesus prayed to the Father, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17)

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

Paul said, "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." (1 Thes. 2:13)

Truth is the word of God. Jesus is truth.

Truth is the gospel. (Col. 1:5) Truth should be obeyed. (Gal. 3:1)

Truth can be known. (John 8:32, 1 Tomothy 2:4)
