Test says 'NO', but my body seems convinced it's pregnant! Abdomen feels pregnant, similar pains in breast area, odd dreams. Even to the point I've started taking Flaxseed oil to deal with fish cravings (I'm vegeterian). How do I deal with a pregnancy that can't be real? Do I need a shrink?

Just to say I have had spotting the last two months, so it is NOT that my period is due. But I appreciate what you say.

It does sound like you are pregnant. However, your body could fool itself into thinking you are if you constantly worry that you are. The more you worry you are the more you look for signs that you are when your really not. However with the spotting it is a good chance you might be pregnant b/c some women tend to spot as the egg attaches itself along the uterine wall. Try going to the health clinic to get a preg. test or a blood test done. A blood test is more accurate. anymore questions kenziebuchanan@hotmail.com

I have been having the same symptoms for 2 mths! I feel pregnant...gained weight, belly bigger, (although I am not a small girl, I am not big either) sore back, feet, boobs...hungry all the time! Also, my sleep pattern has changed, and I have never had that problem.

I was told that it may be a chemical in balance. I stopped my pills a few mths ago and quit smoking...so my body was raging from lack of these chemicals it was used to getting everyday...maybe this could be your problem too? think of some changes you may have made in the last few mths.

good luck...not sure when it will end!

I had spotting and four negative tests before I finally went to the doctor and found out I was four months pregnant and didn't know it. Have a doctor do a blood test just to be sure because it could be a tubal pregnancy.

Could just be a hormone change. If your symptoms persist for more than a month go to the doctor. Hormones can do all those things to you without you being pregnant. Best bet is relax a little more. You could be under extra stress which is causing your hormones to change up a little. Take a little extra time for yourself to relax and have a restful day. Good luck!

You could be having what is known as a hysterical pregnancy. That is where your body is acting like it is pregnant. You may have somehow psychologically convinced yourself that you were pregnant before you found out that you weren't . Good luck.

i would say go to a doctor for a pregnancy test if you only used a home one. if you have then maybe its just your period coming. i would give it a little bit before jumping to the shrink option.

It may just be that you don't have enough pregnancy hormone to detect a pregnancy. Wait a week and take another one. If it comes out negative again, you definately are not.

You better see a dr, this can manifest so bad that you may even start to alctate. It is a proven medical condition. If you are truelly concerned about it, then see a dr.

See your OB/GYN.
You did not state your age or give any info on BCP
No you don't need a shrink...many women experience the same thing.
or,
Re-take the test if you have been sexually active.

hmm my best advice at the moment is too go and see a doctor so be certain and then if it's still know then you should convince your body that you aren't pregnant...
