Only through toxoplasmosis or parasites. You can already have immunity to toxoplasmosis. A blood test will determine this and as blood tests are routine, it can be done as part of all antenatal testing.
If a woman hasn't had prervious exposure to Toxoplasmosis & becomes infected during pregnancy, it can harm her unborn baby. Cats are the usual host for Toxoplasmosis, however Toxoplasmosis can also be contracted by eating undercooked meat, improperly washed vegetables or gardening.
Pregnant women should take precautions such as wearing gloves and washing hands carefully during and after cleaning the litter box, ensuring any meat you eat is thoroughly cooked, washing vegetables properly & wearing gloves while gardening. There is no need to get rid of your cat just because you're pregnant.
If your cat is wormed regularly and flea treated you have nothing to worry about.
Hair would only be an issue as others have said, if you had an allergy to it and it wouldn't harm your baby, it would just make you wheeze and sniffle, sneeze and your eyes water (depending on the severity of the allergy)

I don't think they cause any effects on the female reproductive system, and if they do, I bet that it isn't too serious and that it's nothing to worry about. I've never heard of this type of problem and I have a kitty.

There is bacteria in cat feces that you shouldn't handle if you're pregnant that can cause toxioplasmosis. Hair isn't harmful unless you have allergies that effect the respiritory system. Have someone else clean the box, even if you have an automated one.

uhhhh no, cats r not harmful at all and i'm pretty sure, cause i love cats and i've did many reports on them so i know a lot about cats and i've never heard anything about cats being harmful to girls reproductive system

ya cats hair is harmfull when it goes in to ur stomach it affects ur liver and then there is no prob with cats
