The EU and "Europe" geographically are 2 different things.

It's closer to Europe geographically than Asia, and also in economy and socio-politics.. however, it hasn't been accepted into the EU for a number of complex reasons.

Turkey is geographically part of Europe and Asia. Politically, Turkey aligns itself more with Europe.

Being part of the EU or not has nothing to do with being in Europe or not.

It is nothing to be in E.U , look at t a map you will see why people say it is in Europe.

Turkey is Europe and Asia.
Also eventuallly, the E,U will have to accept Turkey.

Switzerland and Norway aren't in the EU either. So which continent do you place them in?

The EU is a political entity, not a geographical one.
