THIS IS A VERY GOOD QUESTION ! I sometimes ask myself the same thing - why give me clothes of boys ? I muse as I cycle down the hill to work - the only way I can make semse of it is with this poem . . .
Why give me clothes of boys
trousers , pants and neckerchiefs
I'd rather be in the field
rolling in leaves
that flicker gently on a breeze
whittle whittle whittle
nay - take them and incinerate
cast those flat caps asunder
and go
unoticed
into the wardrobe .

your question is not very clear. but the answer may be that you look like a boy, or look smarter/better in those clothes.
