Phone a few friends and arrange for them to come to your house bringing explosives, machine guns, grenades, cylinders of poisonous gases etc. You'll soon find out whether your phone is tapped.
(NB I am not suggesting that you actually procure guns, bombs etc., merely that you create the impression on an eavesdropper that you are procuring them.)
