You should not douche. Need to talk to your OBGYN about this. It can take the good bacteria out of you and cause more harm than good. If you are not "fresh" then there is some kind of imbalance going on. Try a wash of distilled water and a few drops of tea tree oil. This will help you balance again naturally. If you HAVE TO you can use this as an internal wash as well but I would tell you to steer away from this until you are much older and sexually active. Much peace

The need for a woman to douche is a myth. Don't pay attention to those cheesy commercials because it is not only unnecessary but actually harmful to the vagina as it kills the good bacteria and may lead to all kinds of problems such as yeast infections. It also can increase the risk of obtaining an STD if you are with an infected partner. HIV studies have shown that women who douche are more at risk. Just practice regular hygiene such as showering and it is also good to eat yogurt every so often.....and keep the vinegar on your salad!

There is no need for this at all and it can cause problems if you start. Douching is not needed to clean the vagina as secretions do that automatically and safely without damaging anything. If you got an infection, obviously, a doctor could recommend washing out your vagina in addition to any medication given but if you are healthy just forget about the idea.

I read from a health book somewhere that douching is not to be part of cleaning our bodies. I know because when I used to douch myself, I would start getting thrush so I stopped. The body has it natural way of cleaning it. Don't start. Seek medical advice first.

You actually shouldn't douche. It washes away the body's natural cleansers and can lead to more infections down there. If you have an odor or weird looking discharge, go to your doctor, douching will probably make it worse.

I am a 40 year old Ob/Gyn professional. I have never used a douche, and don't recommend it. It is not healthy, and can actually set you up with some nasty infections. Don't do it. Nature will take care of things herself!
