Yes, but one would need to believe reincarnation, or mass consiscousness, or gods reaction to your will.

Why>
1) Reincarnation the ideas, or desires of the last lives can be brought to light during development, where manipulation can take place at its smallest scale (electrical activity in the developing brain) is where to start isnt it? Molding that little lump of cells into whatever it sees fit, to furfil its goal.

2) mass consiscousness could influence the developing human in the womb the same as a reincarnated spirit.

3) Gods reaction to your will is your reward or punishment, or test given because of your past life or states will.

so any way you look at it with any spiritual belief its possible so the answer is YES.

If this is real, it is ofcorse limited, and probably q great struggle for the spirit to accomplish or influeence even the SMALLEST change. that would explain the only slight differences.

who knows. it might be a allout battle with the gods lol

If you mean divine will, yes, it is possible. I am a firm believer in evolution and the theory of natural selection. However, there is nothing ruling out the idea that the forces of nature themselves that cause evolution may be a conscious choice of will by a divine creator ... or even that divine will played a part at certain crucial moments of evolutionary development ... or even that evolution has been directed at *every* step. These are all *possible*.

If you mean will on the part of an individual that is evolving, no. For the simple reason that individuals do not evolve. Only *populations* of individuals evolve.

And of course, there is selective breeding (also known as artificial selection). In this case, acts of will are of course involved in directing the short-term evolution of a breed of animal or species of plant.

Evolution is an effect, not a cause. The causes of evolution include adaptations to allow species to survive in their environment. Evolution is manifested in changes in species morphology and behavior over large time scales.

Humans can change their morphological appearance through plastic surgery, or hair dyes, but these traits will not be passed on to their offspring.

You can not will yourself to grow six inches, grow a shorter nose or have large muscles (without some exercise) and pass these traits on to your offspring.

If we are to accept evolution by natural selection then we have to assume there is some part played by will, by this I mean when we choose whom to mate and that plays a crucial part in the process of selection then we have to concede that will does play a little part

Not unless the species had the ability to change its DNA just by wanting to, absent technological means that is. None do.
